The workers’ compensation interest and discount rate in Texas for the first quarter of 2012 has been set at 3.61 percent.
The rate will be effective beginning Jan. 1, 2012, through Mar. 31, 2012, the Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation announced.
The rate in effect for the period of Oct. 1, 2011, through Dec. 31, 2012, was 3.59 percent.
