Confie Seguros, a national provider of personal lines insurance, has acquired Texas State Low Cost Insurance Agency of Austin, expanding the company’s network beyond its current locations in San Antonio and Houston.
Texas State Low Cost Insurance was founded by Hal and Reba Cooper in 1978. Michael Morris joined the firm in 1993 and took over as CEO/president in 2000. The company has a strong footprint on the fast growing Texas I-35 corridor, as well as in east and west Texas. The company offers personal and commercial insurance from 43 locations.
Morris will continue as president of sales and Kelly Myers will continue in her role as general manager.
Confie Seguros expects to complete a number of transactions in the second half of the year as it continues to build its national presence. Established in 2008, Confie Seguros has built a national portfolio of regional auto insurance brokerages.
