What about the state of Nevada? Also their auto insurance rates are way out of line. They need an elected Insurance Commission not one appointed by the GOVERNOR.
I’m not familar with the insurance rates in Nevada but, I would like to comment that an appointed commissioner is better than one that is elected. Elected officials are going to be overly influenced by voters that don’t really understand the insurance business. This is why we don’t elect members of the Supreme Court. This leads to making popular decisions in the short run that have very negative effects in the long run. An appointed commissioner is only going to be indirectly influenced by the governor that appointed them.

Mr. Murphy, shop your auto rates and let the free market do it’s job. You vote with your feet and your money.
