With an original goal of raising $300,000 for the United Way of Greater Austin, the response from area insurance professionals was so successful during the first six months of the campaign that the Insurance Industry Challenge upped its goal to $340,000.
The group says it is well on its way to meeting or exceeding the new goal. As part of the campaign, one of its founding members, State Auto, is offering a new challenge opportunity. The company will match dollar for dollar all donations made up until the group’s March 25 campaign celebration.
Other founding members of the Insurance Industry Challenge include Texas Mutual Insurance Co. and the Columbia Insurance Group.
