The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) named Adam Sammons of MHBT in Dallas the André P. Juneau Young Agent of the Year at its annual conference and trade show in San Antonio.

This award is given annually to a young agent in Texas who has achieved success through hard work, community engagement and industry participation in a manner that would be considered exceptional for a person of his or her age.
Sammons is the founding member and former board member for Young Risk Professionals of Texas that now has four chapters across the state in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio.
He is the former chair for IIA Dallas Young Agents where he re-structured the young agent leadership and substantially increased attendance at events. Sammons has been the chair for IIAT’s Young Agent Advisory Council for the past two years where he has led the council in creating the Young Professionals Sales and Leadership Summit.
Sammons has served on the board of directors for Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas since 2013 and is founder and chairman for the Texas-Southeast Division Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Associate Board.
