Dean Named President of Houston Independent Agents Group

Kyle Dean, president and CEO of Dean & Draper Insurance Agency LP in Houston, has been elected to serve as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston (IIAH) for a term beginning Sept. 1, 2015, through Aug. 31, 2016.

Dean & Draper is an independent insurance agency specializing in commercial insurance, employee benefits and personal insurance. Kyle Dean has been in the insurance industry since 2005. He assumed the leadership role at the agency when his father, Bob Dean, suddenly passed in 2013.

Prior to his election as president of IIAH, Dean served for four years as vice-chairman of the Legislative Committee, and IMPACT chairman. IMPACT is a state fundraising arm for the independent agents to have their voice heard at the Capitol in Austin.

In addition, the following were elected as officers of IIAH for 2015-2016: President-Elect Daphne B. Clark, Hotchkiss Insurance Agency; Vice-President Scott Margraves, TDECU Insurance Agency; Treasurer Paul Cerone, Bowen Miclette and Britt; , BancorpSouth/GEM Insurance; and Secretary Carole Shelton.

New directors elected for a three year term include: Zachary Gleason, Carroll Insurance Agency; Chris Goff, HARCO Insurance Services; Wesley Kurtz, Pathfinder LL & D Insurance Group; and Jason Billingslea, ACE Private Risk Services.
