Texas Man in Tesla Autopilot Crash Won’t Sue, But Car Insurer May

    At the rate they are going, Tesa’s may be on the list of vehicles companies won’t write. If not, how about doubling the rate on them?

      Based on miles driven in autopilot, they are still statistically safer than humans.

        There’s no proof of this. Tesla cites stats that researchers at Princeton have said provide no actual comparison. Tesla uses stats for divided freeways, without cross-traffic, cyclists, or pedestrians and compares it to national accident rates. It’s fundamentally dishonest, and not a valid comparison. Even that is if you believe their accident numbers, which are doubtful based on their history reporting their accidents.
