Towerstone Adds 4 Associates to Dallas Underwriting Team

Dallas-based Towerstone Inc., a national specialty wholesale insurance broker, has added four associates to wholesale underwriting team.

David Willbanks joined the company as a small commercial underwriter and will connect businesses and insurance companies across the country with expedited access to Towerstone’s specialized coverages typically limited to large companies. He will expand Towerstone’s expertise with his past excellence in hospitality, healthcare and other industries.

Production Underwriter Patrick Claggett also joined Towerstone’s small commercial services team. Together with Willbanks, Claggett will aggregate and package specialized coverages that everyday businesses require to advance their objectives. Claggett has more than 10 years of experience in the Dallas insurance industry.

Jim Bishop joined Towerstone to lead its property division to support multi-family developers, owners and operators. Bishop is a former Texas Surplus Lines Association board member whose responsibilities have quickly advanced throughout his career.

Associate Broker Tyler Schultz has joined the company in support of Bishop’s property practice. Shultz has expertise in areas such as builders’ risk, wrap-up and project-specific coverages for management firms and construction companies.

Headquartered in Dallas, Towerstone has additional staff in San Antonio, Birmingham, Ala., and Michigan, and employs more than 50 associates. It is affiliated with Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, Lloyd’s of London, the Association of Energy Service Companies and the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices.
