Priority One Compliance Services LLC, based in Diana, Texas, announced it has been approved as a training provider for transportation insurance-related continuing education in several U.S. states.
Priority One Compliance Services LLC is a Department of Transportation trucking compliance firm that is staffed by former Texas state troopers who assist motor carriers/trucking companies with DOT compliance matters.
The firm’s founder, Kenneth Nolley, is heading up their initiative to educate, train and provide tools to insurance professionals who focus on trucking risks in an effort to “bridge the gap” between insurance personnel and the complexities of the trucking industry. Nolley, a trucking insurance agent, attributes most of his insurance success to the knowledge and experience he gained while working as a state highway patrol trooper where he conducted commercial motor vehicle roadside inspections and investigated traffic crashes.
In the announcement, Nolley stated that “because so much of the insurance underwriting and rating criteria for trucking accounts comes from DOT roadside inspection data, it helps tremendously to have an in-depth understanding of roadside inspections and their impact.”
Nolley and some of his team members also have experience in the private sector working as DOT compliance ad safety managers for oil and gas service companies and hazmat trucking companies.
