Texas insurance regulators are seeking input on proposed changes to claims-related rules for the state’s property insurer of last resort along the Texas coast.
The Texas Department of Insurance has proposed changes to Texas Windstorm Insurance Association claim rules that would implement parts of Senate Bill 615 and House Bills 1900 and 1944 from the 2019 Texas Legislature.
The changes are related to supplemental payments, replacement cost payments, and extension of deadlines.

TDI will hold a hearing on the proposed rules on Oct. 28, 2019.
