Don Meyer has been appointed interim executive director at the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX).
The appointment, approved by the SLTX board of directors, was effective Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019.
Meyer has more than 37 years of experience in the excess and surplus lines insurance industry. He previously served as a member the SLTX board and was board chair in 2001. He is also a past president of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA).
He is a current trustee of the Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation, where he chairs the Insurance Task Force.
Meyer takes over from Chief Financial Officer Kyle Bolls, who has served as interim executive director since former SLTX executive director, Norma Essary, was removed from the position in late September.
