A fire on the roof of a northwest Oklahoma City mall was extinguished with no injuries on Jan. 4, fire officials said.
Oklahoma City Fire Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson said the fire on the roof of Quail Springs Mall produced thick black smoke that could been seen in downtown Oklahoma City, about 12 miles (19 kilometers) away, and forced the evacuation of both the movie theater and adjacent food court in the mall.
Fulkerson did not know how many people were forced to flee the mall and a cause of the fire had not immediately been determined.
