Homeowners of America Insurance Co. (HOAIC), a property/casualty insurance provider headquartered in Irving, Texas, appointed Richard B. Runyan as its new chief financial officer (CFO) effective March 16, 2020.
Runyan joins HOAIC from Centauri Insurance Group where he was CFO and brings with him more than 30 years of financial management experience with half of that time spent in the insurance industry. He has an extensive background in corporate finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, strategic planning and risk management.
At HOAIC, he will lead the company’s financial operations and investor relations and will report directly to Spence Tucker, president and CEO of HOAIC.
Prior to his most recent position at Centauri Insurance Group, Runyan was vice president and controller at Geovera Holdings Inc. He also has held various titles such as corporate controller, director of accounting, and division controller at prior companies. Runyan is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Management Accountant.
HOAIC provides property/casualty insurance in Texas, Arizona, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina and insures over 180,000 homes.
