Robert Nitsche, CEO of the Giddings, Texas-based independent insurance agency The Nitsche Group, has been appointed chair of the board of directors for the 2020-2021 year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT).
Nitsche was installed as chair of the IIAT board of directors on June 10, 2020, during the organization’s annual business meeting. Prior to nomination and election as chair, Nitsche served four years on the IIAT board of directors, one year as vice chair, and one year as chair-elect.
Along with serving as chair of the IIAT board, he is president and CEO of The Nitsche Group, one of the leading independent insurance agencies in Texas.

In addition to Giddings, The Nitsche Group has eight other locations across the state and 125 employed insurance agents.
In addition to involvement on the IIAT board of directors, Nitsche has also served on the Baylor Hankamer School of Business Advisory Board, Texas Mutual Advisory Board, CNA Pacer Advisory Board, Marsh Berry Advisory Board, Hanover Advisory Board, Baylor University’s President’s Scholarship Initiative Committee, and the Baylor Angel Network.
