Four workers were injured on June 18 when the gas main they were repairing erupted in flames, officials said.
The explosion happened about 1 p.m. at an intersection near a community center and an elementary school in the Little Rock suburb of Maumelle.
Firefighters arrived to find the gas line flaring from a break and four injured workers, who were transported for hospital treatment, according to a Maumelle Fire Department statement. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
The street where the blast occurred was closed until the flow of gas could be stopped and burned off.
