Amwins has recommitted to giving the University of Louisiana Monroe’s Risk Management and Insurance program by donating $100,000 over 10 years.
Amwins and ULM held a check presentation to commemorate the donation on September 17. David Lavins, president of Amwins Access, and Tammy Culmone, EVP and regional leader of AmwinsGroup, presented the check to ULM President Dr. Ron Berry and First Lady Dr. Christine Berry.
The funds will support student and faculty travel to visit companies and brokers in cities such as Dallas and Chicago, according to a press release by ULM. The funds will also support recruitment and marketing efforts, student scholarships and support of events like the ULM RMI Career Fair and Career Fair Reception.
ULM said more than 100 RMI students have interned and been hired by Amwins, more than any other company.
