Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company (GFB), based in Atlanta, will deploy Hughes Network Sytems’ (HNS) DIRECWAY(R) satellite solution for network services. Signal Mountain will be the service provider.
With an array of associated applications and capabilities, DIRECWAY will enable GFB to support applications including proprietary insurance software, Internet and intranet access, software application upgrades and remote help-desk support. The DIRECWAY service offering for GFB utilizes HNS’ DW4020 satellite terminal, which will be installed at GFB offices in Georgia.
Wayne Dollar, Georgia Farm Bureau president, stated “Combining Signal Mountain’s wide area network expertise with HNS’ DIRECWAY products and services gives us a reliable and secure network that will enable us to better serve our members and save money.”
Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company offers property and casualty insurance to rural and urban members and is the largest domestic insurance company in Georgia.
