Atlanta-based ebix.com Inc. signed an agreement under which the company will create a private label version of ebixASP specifically for the members of SIAA, a network of independent agents. According to ebix.com, SIAA members will be getting an Internet-based agency management system that provides “anytime, anywhere” functionality.
The ASP-based system, which ebix.com will host, will be available to all of SIAA members and ebix.com will train the member’s staff on how to effectively use and maintain it. Even though ebix.com will host the system, SIAA and its members will continue to maintain complete ownership of their data.
“The insurance industry, which is traditionally slow to adopt new technology, is quickly realizing the efficiency and ROI benefits of utilizing the agency management over the Internet in an anytime-anywhere-anyplace fashion. We are pleased to be teaming up with SIAA in this endeavor targeted towards moving the agency force forward,” said Robin Raina, CEO and chairman of ebix.com Inc.
