CHOICE Medical Management Services, Inc. a Florida workers’ compensation care management organization, has hired Ruth Montgomery as regional manager for the Southeast. Montgomery’s responsibilities include developing CHOICE’s preferred provider network of workers’ compensation physicians and servicing clients. She is based in Atlanta.
The appointment signals CHOICE’s (www.choicemedicalmgt.com) expansion beyond Florida. The company expects to offer its full suite of health care management services to workers’ compensation carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in Georgia and South Carolina by early 2004.
“CHOICE specializes in tailored programs for local markets and we selected Ruth because of her deep understanding of workers’ compensation issues and nuances in the Southeast,” said Tom Barrett, CEO and president of CHOICE.
Montgomery brought 23 years of workers’ compensation experience to her new position. Most recently she served as client services manager for Crawford & Company, a third-party administrator in Atlanta.
