The Professional Insurance Agents of Florida (PIA) announced that Philip “Phil” Zelman has been elected treasurer/secretary of the 600-member trade association.
Zelman is the vice president and co-owner of NCF Insurance Associates in Coral Gables, responsible for all aspects of the agency’s management. He’s been an independent agent for more than 15 years, with experience in both property/casualty and life/health fields.
Mark O’Connell, executive vice president of PIA of Florida, said, “Phil Zelman has served on the PIA of Florida Board of Directors for many years. His professional experience, in both insurance and agency management, make him ideal for the position of treasurer/secretary of our association. Phil has been instrumental in the growth of our association and we see his new position as furthering the industry and association even more.”
