Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John Oxendine announced that an arrest has been made in an arson case involving the First United Methodist Church of Fayetteville.
Oxendine said a 15-year-old suspect was arrested last week and charged with first-degree arson and terroristic acts. Other charges are pending.
The Oct. 26 fire originated in the interior of the building, according to
Oxendine. Fire officials discovered multiple points of origin during their
investigation.
