CPCU Society Schedules S.C. Events

The CPCU Society is holding a number of February educational events.

All workshops are open to CPCUs and other insurance professionals, and provide the opportunity for professional development and networking. Most workshops have been filed for continuing education credits. Among those events will be two workshops slated for South Carolina.

The CGL Policy: Tips, Tricks, Traps, and Other Essentials
Two half-day workshops presented by the CPCU Society and co-sponsored by the CPCU Society’s Upstate South Carolina and South Carolina Chapters.

When: Feb. 17, 2004 – Greenville, South Carolina
12:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 18, 2004 – Cayce, South Carolina
8 a.m. – Noon

What: Donald Malecki, chairman and CEO of Donald S. Malecki & Associates, Inc., will:

*Explain how to better benchmark the ISO liability forms and endorsements compared to independently filed forms and endorsements of other insurers;
*Discuss the basic issues that led to the strengthening of some policy exclusions;
*Explain how new coverage endorsements compare to others on the market;
*Examine coverage gaps within professional liability forms that are detrimental to insurers;
*Discuss the rationale for ISO’s approach to providing additional insured status, and the different approaches insurers are taking with manuscript or independently filed endorsements;
*Discuss the traps of the Owners and Contractors Protective Liability policy;
*Examine the impact of the demise of the Broad Form Property Damage coverage.
