In May, Georgia’s Board of Workers’ Compensation Safety Committee was honored at a luncheon sponsored by Gov. Sonny Perdue, to celebrate winning the Governor’s Safety Award.
Due to the efforts of the Board’s Safety Committee and all of the employees at the State Board, the numbers of workers’ compensation losses were reduced by 50 percent, and costs were reduced by $171,664.00.
