Four public hearings have been scheduled March 1 in Florida to discuss Nationwide Insurance’s proposed 28.3 percent statewide average rate increase for homeowner’s insurance policies.
Two hearings are scheduled in West Palm Beach on the east coast and two in Pinellas County on the west coast of Florida.
The Florida Administrative Code requires public hearings on rate requests that are more than 25 percent and result in an additional $2 million in premiums.
