Southern Family Insurance representatives have met with 200 Century Village condominium owners in Boca Raton, Fla. and agreed to pay for extensive hurricane repairs including the replacement of five roofs.
Bob Goolman, president of the 360-unit Exeter told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that South Family has agreed to pay well over $400,000 for each of the subdivision’s five buildings to replace roofs and rebuild mildewed roofs in many units.
Residents were told it could take months to complete the work. Ramas Poteat, project manager with The Rolyn Companies, hired to do the repairs, told the Sun-Sentinel the work could continue into May or later.
