Florida’s Lassiter-Ware Recognized for Best Practices, Golden 100

September 26, 2008

Central Florida-based Lassiter-Ware Insurance was named a best practices agency for 2008, ranking among the top performers in the annual best practices study conducted by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and Reagan Consulting.

At the start of the three-year cycle last year, over 800 agencies from around the country were nominated in six revenue categories. More than 300 agencies submitted data and only 195 agencies scored high enough to qualify for inclusion. Lassiter-Ware Insurance is one of only nine agencies in the state of Florida included in the listing.

To retain best practices agency status, Lassiter-Ware must submit year-end results for review each year. Every third year when new agency nominations are accepted, the organization must re-qualify as one of the top performers in its revenue category.

In addition to the best practices status, the Orlando Business Journal recently recognized Lassiter-Ware Insurance as a Golden 100 company. The Golden 100 are Central Florida’s largest privately held companies ranked by revenue for their most recent year end.

Lassiter-Ware was one of 10 companies also showcased as an Ultimate Newcomer, recognizing organizations making the Golden 100 list for the first time.

To qualify for the Golden 100 list, a company must be headquartered in Orange, Seminole, Osceola or Lake Counties, must be privately-held, and must not be a subsidiary of a company based outside of Central Florida. Research was compiled from more than 200 companies in Central Florida.
