I heard Obama has a plan for this. It’s called the NC Beach Cash for Clunkers program, where the feds will pay wealthy waterfront property owners to trade in their homes for inland condos. It’s a $780 billion bailout program.
this emergency legislation would not be necessary if the powers that be during the bush/cheney era had listened and acted in response to global warming instead of leaving it as one more item that Mr Obama has to address. between bush’s many wars, the disasterous economy he left behind the social problems and so much more it’s amazing that Mr obama even took the job but thank god he did

The real issue is the much larger majority of the NC population that have to subsidize the minority of citizens and businesses that CHOOSE to live and operate in catastrophe prone areas.
