The Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts has an agreement with Codell Construction Co. that will allow courthouse projects in four counties to begin.
A review was ordered after it was found the Winchester-based company was providing performance bonds for only a fraction of the value of its work on the projects.
A statement from the Office of the Courts said Codell will now provide 100 percent performance bonds and projects in Carlisle, Hancock, Mercer and Whitley counties can begin immediately.
The court is allowing also Codell to phase in bonds on eight other courthouse projects already under way, eventually insuring 100 percent of the construction.
The company currently furnishes bonds on 7 percent of its fee for those projects in Allen, Breckinridge, Campbell, Franklin, Owen, Pike, Todd and Wolfe counties.
