Lloyd’s of London has appointed Rodney Smith to serve as the regional director for Lloyd’s newly established Southeast region. Smith will be based in Atlanta, Georgia and be responsible for market development in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.
Smith has over 20 years of experience including serving as a vice president of Lloyd’s ICAT syndicate, vice president of the southeast region of the Bermuda-based XL Capital, national director of alternative market products for the New York-based AIG Ins. Co.,
Lloyd’s has underwriters licensed in Kentucky, Illinois and the U.S. Virgin Island. The U.S. represents more than 40 percent of Lloyd worldwide premiums.
