The Florida Association of Insurance Agents announced Susan Ray has joined the association as director of communications.
Ray brings nearly two decades of communications experience. She previously served as director of public affairs at Florida State University’s National High Magnetic Field Lab. She also served as a senior executive at Ron Sachs Communications, Florida communications firms. Prior to that, Ray served in multiple capacities at the Tallahassee Democrat including marketing editor and an editor of the business desk.
Jeff Grady, FAIA president, said Ray’s communications experience will be an asset as the association works “toward strengthening Florida’s property insurance market.
FAIA is a nonprofit state trade association of insurance agencies affiliated with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America Inc., and 18 local boards throughout Florida.
