Keystone Insurers Group has added Jackson, Tenn.-based agency Thompson & Smith Insurance as its 17th franchise partner in the state. The announcement was made by Thompson & Smith Insurance owners Roger Smith and Chuck Thompson along with Michele Bicknell, Keystone’s vice president for Tennessee.
Formed in 1998 by the late Jim Thompson and Roger Smith, Thompson & Smith Insurance is a full-service independent insurance agency. It is a result of the merger of The Thompson Group and Associated Insurance Services.
Current co-owner Smith entered the industry in 1996 when he joined Associated Insurance Services. He is the current president of the Insurors of Tennessee. Fellow owner Thompson began his insurance career in 1994, under the direction of his father, Jim, and became a partner in the agency in 2008.
