Workers’ compensation specialist Patriot National Insurance Group promoted Paul Halter to executive vice president of underwriting and marketing.
He is currently located in Patriot National’s Southeast regional office in Charlotte, N.C., but will later move to the company’s corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Halter was previously regional vice president of Patriot’s Southeast region. As executive vice president, Halter will oversee all underwriting and marketing for Patriot National operations across its 6 regions.

In his previous role as regional vice president of Patriot’s southeast region, Halter established a regional headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., and took responsibility for the states of Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. He grew the region from 20 appointed independent insurance agents to now over 200 with an excess of $50 million in premium.
Before joining Patriot National, Halter was senior vice president of U.S. operation for Atlas Insurance Management.
He has also held leadership positions with Commerce Casualty Group, Crum & Forster and Marsh & McLennan. He has designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
