Confie Seguros Acquires Palm Springs, Fla.-Based City Insurance Agency

Confie Seguros, a national group of personal lines insurance brokers, announced its acquisition of Insurance Group of American Inc. (d/b/a City Insurance of Palm Springs, Fla.)

City Insurance was established in 2003 and specializes in the delivery and services of non-standard auto insurance serving Palm Springs and West Palm Beach, Fla. The current staff at City Insurance will remain in place, Confie Seguros said.

Established in 2008, Confie Seguros is a Calif.-based national insurance distribution company operating in 17 states and primarily focused on the insurance needs of Hispanic consumers. Confie Seguros, a portfolio company of Boston-based private equity firm ABRY Partners, has annual revenue approaching $300 million with more than 540 retail locations.
