Global insurance broker Hub International Limited said it has acquired the assets of Smith Watson Parker Insurance, a Hollywood, Florida-based independent insurance brokerage.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The broker said Smith Watson Parker will become part of Hub International Southeast (Hub Southeast), establishing a new location for Hub Southeast in Hollywood, Florida to serve Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties.
Hub’s Florida operations report to Mike Chapman, CEO, Hub Southeast.
Founded in 1934, Smith Watson Parker has developed an expertise in real estate, condo association risk management and commercial insurance solutions. Smith Watson Parker’s experience will further expand Hub’s regional footprint in these lines of coverage.
Smith Watson Parker’s management team, including Andrew Spargo, president,and Larry Vaught Jr., secretary, will join Hub Florida and continue to lead their operations from Hollywood. They will report to Chris Gardner, chief executive officer of Hub Florida.
