The National Weather Service is checking the damage from a weekend of rough weather in Alabama.
Officials confirmed Monday that a weak tornado touched down in west Alabama in Hamilton on Saturday evening. A twister with 85 mph winds damaged one home and uprooted trees in the area, but no one was hurt.
The weather service said it is still checking storm damage in Greene and Sumter counties.
Minor flooding is being reported in mostly rural areas in western Alabama from the weekend storms.
