Firefighters in North Carolina this week took on blazes at three empty homes in the same neighborhood in Fayetteville.
Multiple media outlets reported that the first call came in shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday for fires at two homes in a neighborhood near the Cape Fear River. Firefighters found heavy fire coming from the house and discovered flames inside a third home.
All three houses were listed for sale. There was no electric service in any of the homes.
No injuries have been reported.
The fires occurred in the same neighborhood where five homes burned under suspicious circumstances between 2007 and 2009.
Assistant Fire Chief Richard Bradshaw said it was too early to determine the cause of the fires.
