Contego Underwriting — the specialist (re)insurance provider to the international construction and engineering markets, and part of Pen Underwriting — has opened a new office in Miami, to provide support and service to clients across Latin America.
The move will provide local brokers with access to the London market capacity and underwriting experience in the international plant and machinery field.
Anthony Willsher, underwriter and founding director at Contego, has relocated from London to lead the new Miami operation, which is now open for business.
According to Jonathan Turner, executive chairman of Pen Underwriting, international expansion is central to the company’ strategic ambition across the Pen Underwriting group of businesses to ensure it is operationally close to the customers and markets we serve.
