The General Assembly has confirmed Pat McCrory’s two appointments to the North Carolina Industrial Commission, including a former Cabinet secretary.
The Senate gave unanimous approval June 16 to Bill Daughtridge and Linda Cheatham. The House previously backed their appointments to the commission, a quasi-judicial panel that resolves contested workers’ compensation claims.
Daughtridge is a former state House member who became McCrory’s secretary of administration when the governor took office in 2013. Cheatham already has been on the commission since 2010 and was reappointed for another term.
