Atlas Insurance Management, a captive insurance management firm, has hired Gail Olsen as senior vice president – Finance & Compliance. Based in the firm’s Charlotte, N.C., office, Olsen brings to Atlas over 25 years of experience as a finance executive in a variety of industries.
Before joining Atlas, Olsen worked for NorthGate, a family-owned packaging, warehousing and reverse logistics company, where she was responsible for improved cash flow, process improvements, risk management, best practices and cross-training. In this role, Olsen also helped NorthGate achieve ISO certification. Prior to that, she worked for Teramu Cardiovascular Systems, Inc., a cardiovascular implant development company, and integrated the newly acquired Scottish manufacturing division into the existing operations.
At Atlas, Olsen will be in charge of finance, human resources, information technology and compliance. Reporting to Executive Vice President Elaine Tapp, Olsen’s responsibilities include streamlining processes and reporting to improve efficiency, financial performance and profitability; creating an effective employee development program; and developing the risk management and compliance program.
