Retailers Casualty Insurance Co. has received all regulatory approvals from the Alabama Department of Insurance to begin offering workers’ compensation coverage in the state of Alabama.
Appointed agents may quote Alabama business with Retailers Casualty for policies with effective dates starting Jan. 1, 2018.
Retailers Casualty is managed by Summit. According to Hank Chiles, senior vice president of Summit’s Southwest Region, says, the monoline carrier provides workers’ compensation coverage for small- to medium-sized retail businesses and currently insures more than 2,400 businesses throughout Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
Summit has more than 40 years of experience in workers’ compensation and provides underwriting, policy administration, claims management and loss prevention services to Retailers Casualty Insurance Company policyholders.
