Assured Risk Cover (ARC) has hired Tom Freeland as Market president and investor. Freeland will be responsible for growing the revenue streams of its Florida-based StormPeace residential and commercial parametric insurance product.

Freeland has worked with startups as well as mature businesses within and outside the insurance industry. He has experience in the property & casualty insurance marketplace, including an engagement at GuideWell Connect, where he led a team that assembled and delivered a suite of auto and home insurance products, including StormPeace, to over 5 million health care members in Florida.
He also held positions of increasing responsibility with Atlanta Casualty, a Great American/American Financial subsidiary. Freeland managed the company’s distribution strategy, building relationships with independent agents, national accounts, affiliates and vendors. He also worked on the team that spun off Infinity Property & Casualty Corporation (IPCC).
StormPeace is an insurance product available in Florida that was designed to protect insureds from economic loss incurred by a named hurricane. It is available through a select network of appointed agents.
