Unfortunately this is not an uncommon thing in FL. We have a resident who insists on feeding Canadian Geese in our community. The geese are not native, kill valuable native species and don’t learn how to feed themselves when they are fed by humans. By attracting the geese, this resident harms the geese, harms native wildlife, and the geese damage the golf course and neighboring yards and homes. But she continues to feed them because “they are so beautiful.” Almost as dumb as the fools who released pythons into the Everglades because the became to big to handle in their homes.
It’s a personality disorder…you should suggest to her to have her psychiatrist prescribe her for it. I mean if she’s hooked on feeding things, she should start with herself.
