Global Claims Services, an insurance technology company, has appointed Brian Matthews as chief executive officer. Matthews will work out of the GCS headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
Matthews has spent more than two decades in the technology and data industries and most recently served as president of Appriss Insights, which was acquired by Equifax in 2021. Prior to Appriss, he held leadership roles at technology firms, including eOriginal, Verint, and Vubiquity.
Current GCS CEO Bob Logan is retiring and will help support the company in an advisory capacity during the transition.
GCS, founded in 1993, said it uses technology to assist insurance companies with damage assessments on floors, roofs, and other sections of homes. It also provides temporary housing assistance for policyholders who have been displaced.
