World Insurance Associates, one of the larger brokerage firms in the country, has acquired North Carolina-based Clinard Insurance Group.
WIA, headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey, announced that it had purchased Clinard on Oct. 1. Terms were not disclosed.
Clinard, or CIG, was launched in Winston-Salem in 2005, offering personal and commercial P/C product lines in North Carolina, the companies said in a news release.
It’s the latest acquisition for WIA, which has made 160 acquisitions since it was founded in 2011. The firm has been ranked No. 24 on Insurance Journal’s Top 100 P&C Agencies.
