Mississippi insurance producers age 65 and older who have at least 25 years in the business no longer need to keep up with continuing education requirements, according to a law that took effect this month.
House Bill 1084, approved by the state Legislature this year, allows older agents to submit an affidavit at the time of license renewal. The affidavit form is available here and can be used to claim the exemption from the education requirements, the Mississippi Insurance Department said in a bulletin.
