Brown & Brown has acquired Georgia-based Brownlee Agency, one of the oldest insurance agencies on Florida’s east coast. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, the companies said in a news release.
Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Tifton, Georgia, Brownlee offers property and casualty insurance across the state but specializes in business and agriculture industry coverages. The agency will operate within Brown & Brown’s retail segment, managed by Tim Soriano.
The publicly traded Brown & Brown is an insurance brokerage with 500 locations around the globe.
