Arthur J. Gallagher, the global insurance brokerage and consulting firm, has acquired Kentucky-based Altman Insurance Services, an employee benefits brokerage and consultancy, Gallagher said in a news release Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Altman, with offices in Louisville, operates in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee. It was founded in 1988. Billy Altman and Mike Summerfield are principals. They and their team will remain in Louisville under the direction of Robby White, chief of Gallagher’s South Central benefits and brokerage operations.
Publicly traded Gallagher is headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
