Update: Woman Sues NFL Star Tyreek Hill, Says He Broke Her Leg in Backyard Football Drills

Miami Dolphins superstar Tyreek Hill has been named in a lawsuit by a model and social media influencer, who claims that Hill broke her leg after she knocked him backwards in an impromptu football instruction last year.

Hall’s complaint, filed in Broward County Circuit Court, notes that Hill makes his living humiliating NFL defenders.

“Unfortunately, after getting ‘humiliated’ in front of friends and family when he was knocked backwards during a friendly football lesson by his friend Sophie Hall, Tyreek became enraged and forcefully and purposefully shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg, requiring surgery with orthopedic reconstruction and hardware implantation,” the lawsuit reads.

Hill is a reported 5-foot, 10-inches tall. The British-born model is about 6-foot, 1-inch, the complaint explains.

Hall’s complaint notes that she had signed her 10-year-old son up for Hill’s football camp at Boca Raton High School in June 2023. Hill began flirting with her through text messages, and urged her to visit his Miami-area home after the camp.

The NFL player invited Hall to join in offensive line drills, the complaint claims. When she rushed him as he had instructed, Hill was pushed backwards, garnering laughter from bystanders.

“Apparently embarrassed by his loss of stability as a result of contact by a woman during the ‘football play,’ Mr. Hill’s attitude changed and he became angry,” the suit contends. A few plays later, Hill charged into Hall “violently and with great force,” resulting in her fractured right leg, it reads.

Hill downplayed the injury and failed to get her medical attention, Hall’s lawyers wrote.

It was not clear if the injury would be covered by Hill’s homeowners insurance policy, or if the millionaire receiver is self-insured. Hill’s attorneys have not yet answered the complaint. Hill’s lawyer this week said the woman broke her leg falling over a dog, not from the player’s actions. The lawyer called the lawsuit’s allegations “a scare tactic,” according to the Sun Sentinel newspaper.

The incident and lawsuit could be seen as more bad news for Hill in his personal life. His mansion caught fire in January but no one was injured. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to domestic assault on his fiancée, and received probation, according to news reports. In August 2023, a man accused the star of slapping him after he reminded Hill of fishing restrictions at a marina, news sites reported. No charges were brought.
