Atlanta-based PointeNorth Insurance Group, a broker and agency specializing in commercial insurance, including transportation, construction and condominium coverage, has continued its rapid pace of growth with the addition of another Georgia agency.
PointeNorth has acquired Caldwell & Langford Insurance in Thomasville, which has been in operation since 1871. It’s the sixth acquisition for PointeNorth this year, the company said in a news release.
Caldwell & Langford is helmed by Danny Braddy and Dawn Allen-Newsome, principals and certified insurance counselors. The firm will continue to operate under the Caldwell name and will be part of the PointeNorth Insurance Group brand, the companies said.
The move expands PointeNorth’s presence in south Georgia and positions it for expansion into northern Florida.
PN said it has acquired more than 50 agencies in recent years, making it one of the larger property-casualty agencies in the Southeast.
