Chicago-based Hub International, an insurance broker and financial services firm with offices across North America, has acquired another agency in the Southeast.
Hub announced that it has acquired the assets of C&L Marine Insurance, based in Boca Raton, Florida. President Scott Costolo and his team will join Hub Florida, and will be known as C&L Marine, a Hub International company, Hub said in a news release.
It’s the latest acquisition for Hub, which has grown to more than 19,000 employees across the continent. Chris Gardner is CEO of Hub Florida.
C&L’s website shows it has more than 30 years of experience, working with major insurance carriers. The firm has focused on boat builders, dealers, marinas, marine contractors, yachts, and more.
It’s the second expansion in a month of a boat insurance firm into the sometimes-stormy Florida waters.
